My friend builds poker tables, and when he was first starting out, he used fabric from a regular fabric store, not sure where he gets it now. I know he uses like a really thick satiny material a lot. Our home table is obviously wool covered as it has "balled up" as you say and it's really not that old. The table is nice and solid, with a nice cushioned rail so I don't want to change it but wasn't sure whether it was possible to recover it, or with what. Any idea where is best to buy felt in the UK? I have not actually had my poker table recovered with new poker felt yet because it's difficult to find someone in a rural area with the expertise to install or cover it correctly, but when I do, Poker Stars Direct is the company I will go to.
